Ohope Crew 0 V Whakatane Firebirds 8
Round 2- A marked improvement on round 1 for most of the game, but a fade in the second half saw a few extra goals slip by. It was maybe the fitness, concentration or lack of coaching direction. We faced a team of all girls (Whakatane Firebirds) having  been together for the last 3 years, saw them at a higher skill level, age level (1 or 2 years) and all round better passing game saw them get 2 in the net in the first half. The turn around saw 6 more (I think ) hit the back of the net. The crew attack never got much of a chance so ended up goal-less. All in all it is up from here and practice and fitness will see a big improvement.

ESP Whakatane Spirits 9 v Ohope Crew 1
Round 1-The Crew came up came up against ESP Whakatane Spirits. This was a well organised group scoring from width and leaving our cluster defence struggling to coupe, leaking 9 goals. There was on the other hand some good positive attack and payback of 1 goal to Willem Gordon through some good movement up the middle.
